Hazel Juanita (Mooney) Reed 96 of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho passed away on April 30, 2023 at her home. Hazel was born May 22, 1926 and grew up on a farm a few miles south of Coeur d’Alene in Cougar Gulch. She was the 2nd child of 6 born to Florence and Ned Mooney. Hazel graduated from Cd’A Highschool in 1944 and attended University of Idaho. September 17, 1950, she married Judd “Doug” Reed.
Hazel worked at Lone Pine grocery, General Instruments and Cd’A School Dist. She was a past member of the Mica Flats Grange and Cd’A Rambling Rovers
Hazel is survived by sisters Louise Feely and Edna Lorenzen, her daughters; Juanita Baltazor of Boise, Muriel Judge of Pingree, Sons; Judd(Rebecca) and Steve both of Coeur d’Alene. 6 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Hazel was proceeded in death by her husband Doug, both parents, sister Virginia “Ginger”, brothers Jim and Don and sons-in-law Jerry Baltazor and Gary Judge.
At Hazel’s request there will be no services and in lieu of flowers you may donate to your favorite charity of choice. Coeur d’ Alene Crematory & Funeral will be in charge of cremation.
