Age 76
Patty Triplett, of Hayden Lake, Idaho passed away peacefully in her home on May 30, 2024, with her family by her side.
Patty was born in June of 1947 to Marguerite (Key) Peterson and Authur Peterson in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She grew up with her older brother, Paul, in Coeur d’Alene, enjoying the great outdoors, horseback riding, exploring caves off Tubbs hill, swimming, and boating in the summers, to ice skating on the frozen lakes in the winter. She told stories of riding her horse down I-90 before it was paved, when contractors were working to smooth out the foundation before paving. Yes, Patty was spicy!
Patty had such a love for the Coeur d’Alene area and was so proud to be a second generation born here. Her life was full of music and entertainment with a father who was a professional pianist and entertained throughout the Northwest. She had a love for the outdoors and just wanted to have a good time. Patty spent every second of the warm sunny days Idaho offered on the surrounding lakes; boating, water skiing, jet skiing, swimming and of course having her cocktails.
Patty met the love of her life, Ron Triplett, and married him in 1982. They spent their marriage of 42 years entertaining with friends and family and enjoying the great outdoors in Hayden Lake, Idaho. Patty spent a couple of decades working as a realtor, mostly part-time, when it did not interfere with her having fun. As her friend Judy said “Whew, what a ride! She loved and lived big.” Patty and Ron built their dream home in 1984, only venturing away for short periods to vacation with their daughter and son-in-law. She was loved deeply by her family.
Patty was preceded in death by her parents Marguerite and Authur Peterson. She is survived by her husband Ron Triplett, Daughter Tracy (Tim) Abrahamson, Daughter JoAnn Stocking, Grandson Tylor (Michaela) Abrahamson, and Brother Paul (Diane) Peterson.
Per Patty’s wishes there will be no memorial service.
